Privacy Policy

Logical Patterns (“we,” “us”) operates a paid, subscription-based educational dashboard for market pattern observation. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. Username, email address, and password hash needed to sign in.
• Contact details. Optional phone number you provide if you want to receive SMS alerts.
• Subscription & billing. Your subscription tier, status, and a customer identifier returned by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit-card numbers; that data lives with the payment processor.
• Imported trading data. When you upload broker statements or transaction CSVs, we store the parsed transaction history so the dashboard can compute positions, P/L, and pattern observations for you.
• Settings & preferences. Saved alert rules, watchlists, chart preferences, dashboard layout, and similar configuration so the platform remembers your setup between sessions.
• Usage data. Page-view events and basic activity for product analytics and debugging. No third-party advertising trackers are used.

How we use your information

• To operate the dashboard features you signed up for.
• To deliver alerts you explicitly configured (in-app toast, email, or SMS) when your saved rules trigger.
• To process subscription payments through our payment processor.
• To debug issues, monitor service health, and improve product quality.
• To send transactional account communications (password resets, payment receipts, important platform notices). We do not send marketing email or SMS.

Third-party processors

We use a limited number of vendor services to operate. Each processes only the minimum data required for its function.

• Payment processor — handles subscription billing and stores your payment instrument under its own privacy policy.
• Email delivery service — receives the recipient address and message body for any transactional or alert email we send.
• SMS gateway — receives your phone number and the alert message body for any SMS you opt in to.
• Hosting provider — runs the servers that host the application and store your data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone outside this list of processors.

Data retention

Account data, imported trading history, and settings are retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required for tax, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes (e.g. payment records).

Your choices

• Update or delete your data. Most data is editable directly in your Account settings. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, email paul@logicalpatterns.app.
• Disable SMS alerts. Reply STOP to any SMS, remove the SMS channel from individual alert rules, or remove your phone number from your Account page.
• Disable email alerts. Remove the email channel from individual alert rules. Critical transactional email (password reset, billing) cannot be disabled while your account is active.

Security

We use industry-standard practices including encrypted transport (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls on production systems. No internet service can guarantee perfect security; if you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password and contact us immediately.

Children

The platform is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
